Paul O’Ryan, Head of Aviation - Canada

Paul O’Ryan joined Swiss Re in July 2008 and is responsible for the company’s aviation activities in Canada. He is based in Toronto.

Mr. O’Ryan is charged with overseeing all Swiss Re Corporate Solutions aviation risks within Canada.  This includes the active management of the company’s aviation portfolio, as well as representing Swiss Re Corporate Solutions at industry events.  Additionally, his role includes interacting with his respective broker and client counterparts and maintaining an active network that facilitates Swiss Re Corporate Solutions continued growth and sustainability within the aviation industry in Canada.

Prior to his present role, Mr. O’Ryan spent 13 years as an aviation underwriter with USAIG/CAIG where he was also based in Toronto. He also holds a Canadian Commercial Pilot License and has previously owned and operated a Commercial Air Taxi Charter Operation and Flight Training Unit.
