AMAC Aerospace opens fourth hangar at Euroairport in Basel

Euroairport, 12 January 2016 – AMAC Aerospace AG opens its fourth hangar at their facilities at EuroAirport in Basel after only 11 months construction time. The additional hangar area of 7,280 m2 and the additional apron area of 6,038 m2 allow AMAC Aerospace to further expand their capacity for wide-body maintenance work.

Successful return to service of two A319 VIP aircrafts

STC level modification and a heavy base maintenance project completed
AMAC Aerospace Switzerland AG has successfully returned to service an A319 VIP aircraft after a STC level modification and a heavy base maintenance project. This major refurbishment and modification project included a customized VIP carpet replacement, a re-upholstery of all seats and divans and an installation of a new in flight entertainment system offering HD monitors as well as audio video on demand with wireless streaming to personal electronic devices. A second stand alone high speed SATCOM system was installed to offer passengers further connectivity. Due to the cabinet modifications, the customer is pleased to have received additional storage capacities and more space in the cabin during its operations. The modification and refurbishment work was carried out in parallel with a heavy base maintenance project including landing gear overhauls. The cabin refurbishment was performed and certified on time during a very challenging ground time to meet the operational requirements as well as the customers’ expectations.

FAA Air Agency Certificate for AMAC Aerospace

Euroaiport, 18 June 2015 - AMAC Aerospace SWITZERLAND has successfully been awarded the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ‘Air Agency Certificate’ and is empowered to operate an FAA Approved Repair Station.

AMAC Aerospace becomes first independent European MRO to complete 16-year structural inspection on Gulfstream V

AMAC Aerospace today announced it has successfully completed a 16-year/192-month structural inspection on a Gulfstream V business jet as its Basel, Switzerland hangar facilities.    Finishing the work in November, which included repetitive eight year/96-month inspection tasks, AMAC becomes the first independently-owned MRO specialist in Europe to successfully perform this complex maintenance review.  The Gulfstream V is a new type to AMAC’s extensive maintenance portfolio.

AMAC Aerospace delivers first completed Boeing BBJ 777-200LR

BASEL - Switzerland, October 27th, 2012 -- AMAC Aerospace has delivered the first BBJ 777-200LR (long range) ever to be completed for a private customer in the Middle East.  The aircraft was brought to AMAC by Aviation link, Saudi Arabia, who took delivery of the completed aircraft from AMAC’s facility in Basel, Switzerland following the conclusion of 19 months’ completion work, involving more than a combined 500000 man-hours.

AMAC Aerospace to debut at AIREX 2012

AMAC Aerospace, a leading provider of corporate aviation maintenance and completion services, will be participating at the 9th bi-annual AIREX, the international civil aviation and airports exhibition at Ataturk Airport, Istanbul from September 6th to 9th 2012.  Its debut presence at the show coincides with the four year old company’s inauguration of Istanbul-based AMAC Turkey and the completion of a three-storey sales and service centre.  The new facility embraces 1,500 sqm of hangarage, 1,200 square meters of shop floor space and 300 square meters of office space.  It is expected to be fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2012, with a team of 17 operating from the facility. The new structure will complement the extensive hangar facilities at AMAC’s EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse, Switzerland Headquarters.
